Mountain Slemenova Špica is one of the most famous mountains on TO DO LIST in autumn. Half of Slovenians post photos from here every autumn. You will ask why.
Slemenova špica is 1911 m high mountain in the Julian Alps. It is famous for its magnificent view and more important the picture of larches that are currently turning yellow. In autumn it is indispensable to take your camera with you. It is a true paradise, sometimes with a small lake on top.
The Julian Alps are definitely one of the most photogenic areas in Slovenia. The road to Vršič is already full of views of mountains and from Vršič Pass there is a lot of paths you can hike. Slemenova Špica is one of the mountains that is not hard to hike, moreover, it is perfect for a family trip. It takes a little more than 1 hour to reach the top.
When on the path and on top, you can admire mountains Mala Mojstrovka and mountain Jalovec. In front, we can see Ponce Valley and Tamar Valley.
I think I will start to love autumn. I just like to spend time in nature, in the mountains, watching trees get colored into golden colors.
